MEET THE FOUNDER
At first, we will always be a family business.
With my dad helping me select the utmost quality fabric, my husband alongside my brother managing the business operations and handling the deliveries, there's an incredible amount of love that goes into weaving every saree at the sowlo!
Let's Get Comfortable
Sowlo in the Sourashtra language means Saree.
We couldn’t think of a better brand name explaining our heritage. Our Grandfather was one of the pioneers of the handloom saree industry since 1975. He led a team of 80 odd weavers and earned a reputation. We used to weave pure handloom silk sarees. Most of them were Bridal and Bridesmaids sarees. Even today our sarees are part of each household singing their happy tales.

Gradually, power looms took their place in the textile industry which pushed the weavers and the handloom industry to the edge. Back then, everyone hid their reason to switch over to Power loom in the name of cost and efficiency. But the priceless handloom sarees and the labour were left unnoticed. Our grandfather never switched to power loom, and we continued to source sarees from weavers as much as possible.

However, we the younger gen decided to continue his legacy. We wanted to support India’s largest and oldest textile industry and bring it to current and upcoming generations. That’s how "the sowlo" started. We are majorly known for handwoven eco-conscious sarees. At the sowlo, we use only natural fabrics. We make sustainable and eco-friendly fashion and some of our fabrics are Pure Silk, Pure Silk Cotton, Pure Cotton, Banana pith and Linen as a part of our collection.

We wanted our authentic sarees to be a part of our customer's life. Customer happiness, unparallel quality, and reasonable price are provided to each one of our customers. Keep supporting and your love propels the sowlo.
